This stunning board in my arms is recycled ceramic tile by Clayhaus Ceramics. As Ecohome’s Tile Specialist, I work with clients to create custom designs for backsplashes, shower surrounds, fireplaces, and any project you can dream up. I’m here to guide you through the dizzying array of colors, shapes and sizes, whether the look you’re after is Farmhouse Modern, Warm Mediterranean, Classic Craftsman, or Disco Chic! I can help you pull together the perfect palette of finishes including flooring, cabinetry, countertops, tile and paint.
In addition to holding down the Ecohome Design Studio on Fridays and Saturdays, I work independently as an interior designer and color consultant. I’m available for full-service remodels, furniture, art and accessories shopping, space planning and project management at Synthesis Interiors and Color.
Why do I care about the environment? Well, it’s the only one we have! Two years ago, my husband and I gave up our quiet, wooded retreat in the Oakland Hills to live in North Berkeley, where all of our necessities (and many friends) are walking or biking distance from home. While we miss the daily visits of wild turkeys, running errands without a car is liberating! When I’m not making homes prettier and more functional, you can find me hiking the golden hills, camping in the redwood forests, consuming an ample diet of live music, or cooking up local, organic produce.
