Taja holds an MBA in Sustainable Management from Presidio School of Management. At Ecohome Improvement, Taja is the head of marketing, sales training, product selection, and customer experience. She began her career balancing business priorities with environmental issues while developing social and environmental supply chain initiatives at Hewlett Packard.

Nina Boeddeker
Nina is the head of finance, operations, and human resources at Ecohome Improvement, taking care of the many wheels that support a business. Prior to starting Ecohome Improvement, Nina had a career as a Research Scientist. She studied Pharmacy in Berlin, Germany, obtained her PhD in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology and spent the next decade researching infectious diseases and how to combat them. She has been living in the Bay Area since 1996 and enjoys living with and co-creating the vibrant Berkeley community.

Onyx Pietersen
Onyx studied Architecture in Florence Italy in 2001 and received her degree in Architecture from California State Polytechnic University in 2003. She has 8 years of experience in both large and small scale architecture and interior design with a specialization in space planning and millwork design.

Monti has a degree in Industrial Design from Georgia Tech. She has 12 years of experience as a kitchen designer and green flooring expert.

Josh has a degree in sound engineering from SF State University. However, here at Ecohome Improvement he is your expert in the flooring department, helping you find just the right floor for your home.

Maria Tsasis
You’ll find Maria at Ecohome’s Paint Bar, mixing and matching colors, testing new products and answering all of your coatings questions. With a fine arts background and an eye for design, she is sure to help you transform your space into anything you can imagine. She’s always happy to offer her opinion on what she thinks would work best for your project, too – free of charge!
All Around Helper
Roo
At an early age Roo discovered that herding cows in San Bernadino’s cattle country was not a fitting job for her. In fact, all the ranch hands and rancher agreed. She was laid off from that job at only 4 months old and sent to a cattle dog rescue agency. Today, she can be found herding humans at Ecohome Improvement.
