‘Mission Accomplished’ For Ecohome Improvement; Firm Announces New Venture”
Ecohome, one of the first green building stores to bring non-toxic zero v.o.c paint to the West Coast, announces that its Paint Bar has achieved ‘mission accomplished’ status. Ecohome confirms that the Paint Bar branch of the business will close operations in August 2019.
“When we first launched 15 years ago, we set out with one mission: to make it easy to be eco. We saw a strong demand for non-toxic zero v.o.c. paints and we started the Paint Bar with the intention to make it easy to find safer, non-toxic paint. Eventually conventional paint stores and big box stores caught on with the demand” says Ecohome Improvement’s Co-Founder and spokesperson Nina Boeddeker. “Today, almost all paint stores are carrying zero v.o.c paints and we are happy to have been part of that success story.”
Ecohome Improvement will be focusing on growing other product areas that are not easily found elsewhere, such as extending their own brand Mod Cabinetry the first US-sourced and manufactured modern cabinets that use only formaldehyde-free materials and finishes. Plus, they are enhancing their inventory of hard to find innovative non-toxic stains, sealers, and flooring options.
“We’ve always believed in doing things better and our journey has shown us that there are many other areas in the home where customers want to have easy access to non-toxic options. While we are proud to say it’s ‘mission accomplished’ for non-toxic paint, we are growing and expanding into new areas and this is far from the end of Ecohome”.
